悪性腫瘍や急性骨髄性白血病などと闘う青年と彼を支える家族や友人らの姿を通し、人間の生命力の強さと支え合う絆の大切さを伝える。玉元栄作原作、篠崎絵里子脚本、佐久間紀佳演出。将来に不安もなく、気ままに過ごす栄作(村上信五)は恋人の美香(田中麗奈)より男友達を優先し、いつも美香のことをほったらかしにしていた。ある日、栄作は美香とのデート中、激しくせきこんで吐血。病院で症例の少ない悪性腫瘍と診断され、入院して抗がん剤治療を受ける。栄作は副作用の苦しみと、死ぬかもしれないという恐怖で自暴自棄になり、見舞いに来る美香にもつらく当たる。そんな中、決して生活が楽ではない沖縄の祖母から治療費が届き、栄作は祖母の気持ちが心に染みる。さらに中学時代からの仲間たちも見舞いに来て、栄作は病気と向き合う力をもらう。腫瘍摘出の手術は成功し、栄作は生きていることの幸せを実感。ずっとそばで見守ってくれた美香の大切さに気付くが、半年後、悪性腫瘍が再発してしまう。
ということで、今年の24Hテレビのドラマは関ジャニ村上信五と田中麗奈。
