After the Red Sox throttled Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia yesterday, the A.L. East rivals find themselves tied atop the division standings.

With the mercury rising in August, this perennially tight division race is heating up as well. Both clubs enter tonight's showdown at Fenway Park in Boston with 69 wins against 43 losses. The visiting Yankees send Freddy Garcia to the mound while the Red Sox will counter with Josh Beckett.

Boston leads the season series between the clubs, 9-2 and is the betting favorite tonight. The bookmakers also expect a high-scoring affair and the over/under is resting at 9 runs just a few hours before the first pitch.
