Pamelyn Chee blooding and in tears after filming accident renungmalam
SINGAPORE: One minute she was doing her scene and the next, she was in pain - a lot of it.
Singapore actress Pamelyn Chee was shooting a scene for "A Song To Remember" on Saturday night when a filming accident left her with a bleeding nose and ringing ears.
"We were filming a torture scene for "A Song To Remember" and it was supposed to be a fake big strong punch.
"But the other actor's fist came too close and I swerved my head too near him so the big 'miss punch' became a real one," said Chee on Tuesday.
"I started tearing uncontrollably because of the impact and the pain.
"The thought of needing a new nose did cross my mind but I was trying to deal with the logistics ... the fact that I had a long night of filming to go and my makeup was getting smudged by my tears and it will be a pain to fix," the Fly Entertainment artiste said.
Chee was sent to hospital at about 2.30am the next morning after she finished the shoot.
She said her nose is still swollen and the area under her right eye remains bruised.
"The doctor did an X-ray and said the bone was not broken but we can't be sure if the nose will be crooked - it's too swollen to tell," Chee explained.
Although it was a painful accident, she did not blame her 'assailant'. She was instead impressed by his tenderness.
"He's a sweetheart! He held the ice pack on my nose the whole night - he even called to check on me today!"
She admitted that it would take "makeup, good lighting and favourable angles" to hide her injury and make her look presentable for her other shoots in the near future.
However, Chee's injury also gave her the opportunity to have some fun - each time she's asked how she got hurt, she'll weave amusing and fantastic tales.
"I make up different stories according to my mood.
"I told someone who saw me post-makeup today that my new raised, prominent, and huge swollen nose bridge was the result of plastic surgery.
"And that the doctor used to be an actor and I could refer her to him! She believed me! She liked my new more angmoh (Caucasian) look despite the swelling! It was hilarious," said Chee.
